OLD BUSINESS
- Boat Ramp Lot – Sod is in and sprinklers are running – Please continue to stay off of the grass for the next month – the sod is taking well and looks great!
- FIREWORKS – Thanks to everyone who has donated!! We are able to fund this display and keep within our Budget thanks to your generosity! FYI – there is still time to donate if you would like to. Weather looks iffy, reminder that the 5th is our back-up date if the 4th does not work. If both days are a rainout, vendor may issue a credit or we can pick another date.
- Boating Safety – Please exercise caution when on the lake. Of particular concern is high speed and aggressive tubing on the lake. These activities are a significant safety concern. Speed Limit on Valley Shores is 35 mph. Please exercise caution and take a moment to read through our Boating Rules and Regulations posted on our Valley Shores website.
- Clean up of HOA common areas. We are working to schedule Ground Builders to come out and assist in cleaning up our HOA common areas. We are flagging dead trees for removal and evaluating our common areas.
- Food Trucks – A Big Thanks to Karen Bertelsen for organizing these vendors- It is MUCH APPRECIATED! The schedule is posted on our Valley Shores Website! Please consider stopping down and socializing with our community.
NEW BUSINESS
- Boat Parade – (NEW FOR 2025) Please join your neighbors in our First Valley Shores Boat parade at 4:30pm on the 4th. Golf Course residents – leverage your lake friends and come check it out. It’s our inaugural attempt. Should be fun!
- Additional Buoys – we will be placing additional buoys on the east side of the lake to reference safe boating distance from docks/lifts. Any boating inside of these buoys is a 5 mph (no wake) zone.
- Still Waters Pumping – Valley City Administrator is working with Papillion NRD and has sent official correspondence to the developer. We will continue to monitor.
- Trash cans – these cannot be left in front of homes. They are required to be placed where they are not visible.
- Beach Clean up – Please remove any weeds and sand bags from your beach. If you need assistance please reach out to the board. There are several youth in our neighborhood that would love the summer work!
