Annual HOA Board Meeting Date/Time Feb 11, 2024 at 2:00PM at The Pines

Time limit on responses, 3 minutes

Fireworks Options Cost $12,000- budgeted for $9000, will need to do fundraising to make up the $3000 difference.  All three bids received for similar shows ranged from $12k-$12.5k Wald Fireworks- Fireworks and parade scheduled for July 5, 2024 (make-up July 6th if necessary)
Additional Ultrasonic Purchase of an additional ultrasonic approved at Dec 2023 HOA Board meeting

Monitoring will cost $1500 annually

The Board was able to negotiate monitoring all three devices for an annual fee of $500, saving $1k

Steve Hansen has also volunteered for the Valley Shores Design Review Board.  Future plans for additions, landscaping etc will go before the DRB.  Once reviewed, the DRB will recommend to the HOA board approval/disapproval
2024 HOA Board Elections Ballot and HOA Dues Notices-

Send out another email/web posting reminding residents of HOA Dues and ballot and penalty for late payments (will not be waived!)

An additional mass email was sent out to the community reminding them of the 31 January deadline for HOA dues and ballots.

NOTE: If Tim Militti is elected to the HOA Board, there will be an opening for a member at large position.  Preferable someone from the golf course side.

Budget Review Greg H presented budget sheets

Extra $11,000 left over in budget this year

Will apply $10,000 for grounds improvements to include $6000 for large limestone blocks to separate grass area from sand beach for boat ramp lot

 

Proposed updates for front entrance, run electrical to entrance sign for lighting.

Holiday Party The Pines on Jan 13, 2024

Approx 50 people are attending

Due to inclement weather the Holiday Party has been rescheduled for Friday 26 Jan.  Cocktails begin a 6 p.m., dinner will be served at 7 p.m.
Easement for boat ramp lot Brian and Kelly Ellis want to purchase a section of boat ramp lot because their landscaping (line of trees) is on the boat ramp lot. May cause issue when they want to sell the house.  HOA will look into the possibility of an easement with our lawyer. Discussing options with the Valley Shores lawyer for best option
SeaDoo switch and Jet Boat approval discussion Need to discuss to determine interest in changing the covenants to approve SeaDoo Switch pontoons and jet boats at the annual HOA meeting.

 

 

James will ask Bobby Smith from Leisure Life to present/answer questions about the SeaDoo switch and jet boats.

 

HOA Board will sponsor an additional demo of the SeaDoo switch in the late spring/early summer for interested residents
