Valley Fire Dept Fund Raising Update
$300,000 raised of $3 mil goal Looking at some federal/state grant money Presented brochure that will be given to larger donors/corporations Marketing company is working on grants and created brochure There will be some “naming” opportunities Deadline for money to be raised: Oct 2024 At that time a loan or additional bond would be options to make up the difference. Would anyone like to be on the steering committee |

| Stillwater Lake Drilling | Neighbors concerned that drilling is affecting Valley Shores Lake | Information concerning the wells at Stillwater Development provided by Gregory Perry, PE from Eagle Engineering Group
“The wells within the Stillwater development were installed to dewater the soil conditions to allow for sanitary installation that has occurred over the past month. These wells are temporary and will be removed at the completion of the work. The sewer construction is about 75% complete for both Phase 1 and 2 with the remainder anticipated to be completed by the end of the year, weather permitting. Hopefully, this clears up any concerns of pumping impact to adjacent lake communities.” Additionally, the city inspector is very much on top of this. He absolutely assured us that the wells will be capped upon completion of the ground work. |
| Additional Ultrasonics | Nebraska Lake Management- $500 cost for annual monitoring subscription per ultrasonic unit? | Nebraska lake management confirmed $500 fee for optional monitoring capability. First two ultrasonic subscription expires April 2024. We are working with the vender (Water IQ) to waive at least one of the monitoring fees |

The HOA board is creating a local Design Review Board to review all construction/landscape plans submitted to the board. The DRB will then make recommendations to the HOA Board to approve or deny or modify. Gary Wasco and Joe Hurd who bath have extensive experience have agreed to be members of the DRB. We are looking for one other volunteer who has construction/architectural expertise. Please contact a Board member if you are interested. |

Put out email/web posting announcement reminding residents for HOA dues and ballot
Greg Harr and 2 write-ins on the ballots If vacancies remain, HOA board can appoint a replacement board member. Results will be presented at the annual HOA meeting |
You should have received your dues notice and HOA Board member ballot by now. If you have not received your dues notice and ballot, please contact a board member to have them provided to you. A mass email was distributed reminding residents to pay their dues before 1 February 2024 to avoid a late fee.
