Valley Shores Residents,
TIME IS RUNNING OUT!!!!! If you or one of your family members is interested in attending a Nebraska Boaters Safety Course you are in luck. One is being held on the 8th of Oct at the Valley VFW from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with an hour lunch break and a total of six hours of class time. The cost of the class is $10 per person. Please keep in mind that in the state of Nebraska, if you were born after 31 December 1985, you are required by state law to have completed the Nebraska Boaters safety course to legally operate a boat. In Nebraska, you are able to operate a boat at 14, if you have completed the Boaters Safety Course. Due to the size of of our lake our rules are more restrictive and you must have completed the Boaters Safety Course (if born after 31 Dec 1985) and must be over 18 to operate a boat on Valley Shores.
